Reading is Fundamental!

In honor of the great Dr. Seuss's Birthday, I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from some of his books. I have always had a love for Dr. Seuss. I still have some books that didn't get passed on to my daughter and she always had at least a couple of them to read whenever the moment struck.

I currently am reading "The Foot Book to Abby" and it's one that if you read it enough you just know it by heart. It helps to learn where your feet are!

It is very common to pass on the "oh the places you'll go" book to your child or student at certain stages of life. I did but some how I still have it.

When I worked at a daycare, I ordered a "Hat Full of Seuss" it has 5 stories in it. Also when I worked there I would decorate my walls with characters from the books.

I love this one! I mean it is very true. Blending in leads to a boring life.

I printed this off and framed it for my daughters 16th Birthday. I wish I would've learned this sooner in life.

I hope that you all enjoy the wonderful Dr. Seuss as much as I do!

March shall be a month of learning

What can you learn without having to make the commitment to enroll in school?

That has been my question lately. I do not have time to be attending a school on a daily basis but I want to learn something new, always.

So I put together this list of things I am looking into.

When I learned that you could take free classes from MIT, I was like "what can I learn and is it really free?"  It is really free but if you want a certification than you have to pay for it. Here is the link for you to get on and find something that interests you.

It never fails that when I have an idea for a post, I go looking for help and ideas on the internet and someone else has already covered my idea so well that I feel inadequate even writing about the topic. Here is a link to a website that has 37 websites to choose from for learning,

I have also installed the Dulingo app on my phone to teach and learn German. My hubby is German and so is Miss Abby and they say young minds are pretty mold-able. Dulingo is a very easy to use language app for beginners.

If you are like me and have a desire to make your blog look better but are not sure how to code? Well I found this link on beginner HTML that I hope will help me understand.

I have lots more that I want to do but there are only so many hours in the day and I do not want to burn out so I will have to focus on a few at a time. I hope that I have inspired you to look into something new to learn.

Social Media Schedule

This post is about creating a schedule in hopes to get more follows on my blog. Now that being said, I didn't start this blog to make money. I started because I thought it would be fun. If that is the case then I shouldn't care how many followers I have...right?

Well, oddly enough I'm having a problem with not having a mass following. It's like I feel like I was picked last for dodgeball, but I know that's absurd for an adult to feel that way about a blog, and it took a lot to admit that.

So I created this cheat sheet for me to remember to engage. I am not the most interactive person so even just to randomly comment on other peoples blogs seemed weird to me at first, like "who would want to hear what I have to say" type of reaction, but I have gotten better at it.

I laminated it and put it at the front of my blogging binder. I still feel like I'm trying to force myself on the world, but I don't think I'm ready to give up just yet.

I hope you can re-use this printable I made as my reminder. The download is in the cheat sheet.
